Cross River Rail is a transformative $5.4 billion transport infrastructure project delivering a new 10.2 kilometre rail line through Brisbane, including a 5.9 kilometre twin tunnel under the CBD. Central to the project are four flagship underground stations—Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street and Roma Street—each designed to unlock major urban renewal opportunities while improving network capacity and reliability.

Boggo Road will create a new southern gateway and interchange with existing rail and bus services; Woolloongabba will anchor a future mixed-use precinct tied to Brisbane’s sporting and entertainment hub; and Roma Street will become the city’s new “Grand Central,” integrating long-distance rail, busway, and metro connections.
