As part of Ireland’s first Offshore Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (ORESS), five new offshore wind projects are planned for Ireland.

These fixed-bottom wind farms will collectively deliver up to 4 GW of clean energy capacity, significantly advancing Ireland’s 2030 target of 5 GW of offshore wind. The developments will include offshore substations, subsea export cables, and onshore grid connections, ensuring seamless integration with the national transmission network while driving regional economic growth and supporting Ireland’s transition to a low-carbon future.
